Another full quarter. Started Tuesday May 4th. after the Pigeon Forge Assembly. Spent several hours at the Archives with David L. May 8th, June 12th and July 10th. 9th NAW Archives planning comities, I will end this report with those sessions. May 15th Midtown Group in Memphis had an old timers appreciation day from 10 am till 6 pm. Lots of activity related to Archives from start to finish it was a very well attended and successful event. On May 4th I took Archives weekend off and attended my friend Rudy L's 44th AA birthday. I did have the opportunity to pass out many NAW fliers. On May 6th Your Area Chair Tom N and Alternate Chair Rusty R and Charlie M. Were invited to Parsons TN. for one of the first Washingtonian/Oxford Movement and early AA histories. There were 40 to 50 people in attendance. Lots of food, fun, fellowship and very well received Q and A, before, during and after the event. We have had several more invitations to repeat this presentation, more will be revealed in Oak Ridge this weekend. 9th NAW Planning Committee had a supportive event in Murfreesboro on May 22nd. It was a catfish dinner and dance. I had the privilege of giving my AA history and sharing my experience. The event raised funds for the 9th NAW. The weekend of 25 - 27th of June. I thought I had had my highlight while being involved in Archives. I was to be proven wrong. In less than one week. The Mississippi State Convention (Area 58) invited Area 64 to display our traveling archives for the weekend and PROMOTE the 9th NAW. The only announcements made from the Voice were, No Smoking, Convention Info, and 9th Annual NAW. Doug R, convention coordinator for the International Conference in Montreal in 05. Shared his story Sat. at 3 pm. He, had a workshop at 5 pm on GSO duties. After the workshop, Doug shared with me, that he has something Area 64 Archives may want or need. Tuesday morning I received a package from GSO containing a 64 page copy of a manuscript of the Washington Temperance Society.
