New To Archives                                                                                   Area /District /Group /Personal         

Welcome. Weather you are the Area, District, Group Archives Chair you might ask yourself what do I do now. Well, willingness is the key. First off  there is a huge difference in and Archives Chairman and a archivist. The Archives Chair is charged with several things. One of the many things they do is to insure that the AA repository is protected from ourselves and from the many enemies of paper, pictures, books, recordings. etc.. Most of the time this is only learned over a long period of time. They correspond with the many different groups and individual AA's that request information from the Area, District or Group Archives. They usually chair the Area Archives Business meetings at assemblies. They are instrumental in forming committees to help in the many affairs of the Archives. They either carry the  Traveling Archives

On The Lighter Side

Since I've joined AA, I've gained quite a bit of weight. A friend told me it was because I didn't get as much exercise as I used to.

"But I never exercised while I was still drinking," I protested.

"Sure you did," he countered. "Here's the exercise program you were on:"

Hitting the bottle, Beating yourself up, Bending the rules, Stretching the truth, Jogging your memory, Running into trouble, Jumping to conclusions, Stepping on toes, Climbing the walls, Dodging responsibility
Pushing your luck, Pulling the wool over peoples eyes, Walking all over people, Carrying a grudge , throwing fits, Picking up the pieces.
